WWF Project & Programme Standards: Monitoring Plan (2005)

Description: This guidance resource supports the implementation of the WWF Standards of Conservation Project and Programme Management. Although lacking in examples to illustrate the steps involved in moving from results chain to monitoring plan, it is a very good resource.  It has valuable discussion about data management and storage as necessary considerations prior to entering the monitoring phase. WWF Project & Programme Standards: Goals, Objectives, & Activities (2006)

Description: This guidance resource supports the implementation of the WWF Standards of Conservation Project and Programme Management. However, to be better guidance, significant updates would be required. Some featured text boxes are confusing and the ideas are better expressed in later WWF documents such as the Standards Overview.  Current best practice uses results chains, rather than conceptual models to set objectives, and the use of viability is sketchy.
